EVENT TYPE: 501/RL Formal
WHAT: Hillsboro Hops Star Wars Night
WHERE: Ron Tonkin Field, Hillsboro (https://www.google.com/maps?q=Ron+Tonkin+Field,+Hillsboro&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj154r6vZrcAhXpzlQKHRbKA1MQ_AUICigB)
DATE: Friday, August 9th
TIME: Arrive: as early as 4pm/In Costume: 5:45PM on the plaza for greeting guests as gates open. Gates open at 6PM, game starts at 7PM
They invite breaks as needed and to stay as long into the game as you are able. There is a Star Wars themed fireworks show at the end of the evening and it would be great to have anyone available to stay through to the end.
PARKING: Please enter through Gate B, say you are performing at the game for free parking, and park as close to the main entrance as you’d like! A word of caution: The closer you are to the stadium the greater the risk of foul balls landing on cars.
CHANGING AND STORAGE: As you arrive to the main entrance of the stadium, please check in at the main office (next to the box office and team store). One of our staff members will then escort you across the plaza and underneath the football stadium where you will have access to a private locker room that will only be accessible to your group. Bring water! Hydrate!
REMINDER for sporting events from LFL:
- We are NOT allowed to throw out the first pitch, drop the puck, flip the coin, etc. We can escort another person to do these activities.
- We CANNOT appear to be promoting a team logo by wearing, sitting/standing on, or appearing with it. This includes standing on top of dugouts. Taking pictures with fans in their team apparel is okay, though.

Wonder how hot it will be. Last year it was 90 and my helmet smelled like a melted tire. So maybe a helmet less bridge crew or scan crew.I can put you as spotter/photographer if you'd like. We can have a few spotters.

Sign my dad Jason and my sister Kaylee as spotters! If that’s too many they can just take photos!I have put them as back up for now. If we don't fill all 20 costume spots we can add them. Our maximum is 5 spotters/photographers, unless we don't fill all 20 costume spots.

We basically hang out on the concourse and greet people as they come in. We wander the seats and concourse waving and taking pics with the crowd. It's usually until about half time. Sometimes longer, it's up to the troopers. Watching the game is on and off while on the concourse area. Sometimes they have some troopers stand on the sidelines of the field for part of half time. It's a little different each time.
They give us a locker room area to change and take breaks as needed.

So we sometimes are done around inning 4-5.... it's generally up to the troopers, the heat, etc.

I know it's short notice but my regular costuming support (wife) is not able to help out tonight... I've usually been able to enlist help from others but I wanted to ask in advance if there anyone who can lend a hand? Most everything I can put on myself but there's a few bits I can't do alone.
