Title: Can someone tape the special on the HIstory Channel tonight!
Post by: guyactor on May 28, 2007, 08:31:54 PM
Don't know if this will make it, but there's a special on the History Channel about Lucas' inspiration for a lot of the SW themes in old Japanese movies. Should be interesting.

I haven't tried using the DVD recorder before and was only able to locate an RF cable, so I'm not sure if the quality will be "perfect" but I think it'll be quite good.  I'm trying the dub right now and I'll let you know the results when it finishes.

I do have the G4 coverage of C4, but it's 4 hours long and therefore won't fit on a single DVD (at least not without finding the manual to figure out if it has a "EP" mode or something), but I can give that a try after the History Channel special is done.

I also recorded the entire saga (Episodes I-VI) in High Definition when it was broadcast May 25th...but I don't own a Blu-ray recorder yet.  :P

Unfortunately, Chef Billiam (TIE Pilot) is out of town this week and he has my DVD drive so I don't have a good way to dupe these, but I should be able to at least get one copy made and have it available by Starlight, especially if someone wants to take over replication duty.

I'll be sure to get you a copy.  I feel like I owe you a favor, which is odd because in reality I'm still peeved that you snatched my TX out from under me!!    Oh well, I'll get a set eventually.

Sorry, but look at it this way, the armor you will get will be high gloss. I have had to buff and shine till my fingers hurt and it still isn't as shiny as the new stuff.

True.  I tried to be indignant with Bill, but the reality is that I'm not ready for the armor yet anyway--I'm still an "Apprentice"--but I'm very much looking forward to it.

I can't wait to see yours, tho.  Black Armor > all.

Keith got it on his DVD burner/DVR, so he can make edited copies. He also got the Star Wars Tech special. We can edit out the commercials, as well. Let me check on whether he's willing to make copies for people. Warning: if he says yes, it'll cost about $1 per DVD, and postage from WA.
