Title: Introduction and Greeting!

Hello all! My name is Andrew and I had the privilege of attending my first trooper event thanks to a good friend of mine as a TD Sandtrooper. I've always been interested in getting my own set of armor and joining the 501st, but after April 12th, 2014, I KNOW that's what I'd like to do.

I'm looking to get started with a Sandtrooper (TD) kit and am in need of finding out where to start! Look forward to hearing from all you!

Everyone!!

 This my friend who had my armor on the WHOLE time! With my Sandtrooper pack too!!

 I asked and asked..Could I PLEASE wear my armor and he was no, I got this :wink:

 Almost 3 hrs in someone else's armor and he STILL wants to get his own armor. This guy was born to be a Trooper :cool:

It has some links on getting started as well as to our Costume Reference Libraries, which have links to all the detachments. Each detachment specializes in a specific costume or set of costumes, for example the Sandtroopers have this one:

I'm currently just starting, in the market to get my kit and get started. If you or anyone has or knows where I can get the base armor, that'd be fantastic...

Have you signed up at FISD yet? (whitearmor.net - First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment) The 'getting started' section has a thread that lists armor makers and how to contact them. You can specify Tk or TD parts.  A lot of the makers have long wait-lists or cost an arm and a leg in international shipping.  Also look into MTK armor. He makes really nice accurate armor in short runs and sells them on eBay. He also runs Trooperbay.com. You can email him for info on his next armor run.  Then go over to mepd.net - Mos Eisly Police Dept.  Feel free to PM me with questions.
