WHAT: 34th Annual Lough Legacy Veterans Parade
WHERE: The parade will begin at the Fort Vancouver site and end at the Providence Academy on Evergreen in downtown Vancouver. in Vancouver
DATE: Saturday, November 5th
TIME: Arrive/meetup: between 8am and 10:00am, the earlier the better
Parade: 11am


CAUSE: The Historic Trust and CMAC (Community Military Appreciation Committee)
The Lough Legacy Veterans Parade celebrates the service and sacrifice area veterans have made for our freedom in partnership with the City of Vancouver. Each year, the parade averages over 100 parade entries, nearly 2,400 people marching, and more than 5,000 spectators. We would love to have your organization walk / march in the parade with us. And if you have Veterans, even better

PARKING: (See map below) The parade staging area is for parade show vehicles ONLY. DO NOT park a vehicle in the staging area unless it will accompany you in the parade. Non-parade vehicles will need to park on street parking north of 9th Street or in the Keller Williams Realty parking lots (9th and W St).  I suggest coordinating a location together!
CHANGING AND STORAGE: Car change
COSTUME REQUESTS: We will be grateful for whoever you can provide :)
BLASTER POLICY: Blasters and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend

Parade Details

2022 Parade Participant Information

Saturday, November 5th | 11 am until approximately 1 pm

Parade Check-in & Staging: Opens at 8 am and concludes at 10 am.  No entries will be allowed after 10:30 am. No exceptions. Proceed to staging location upon arrival.  DO NOT GO TO CROSLEY LANES

Star Wars Oregon is #42 out of 74 entries.



Parade Route: Please note the enclosed map of the parade route. GOOD NEWS!  The parade will loop around the Fort Vancouver Historical Site and end at 5th and Reserve.



Parking: The parade staging area is for parade show vehicles ONLY. DO NOT park a vehicle in the staging area unless it will accompany you in the parade. Non-parade vehicles will need to park on street parking north of 9th Street or in the Keller Williams Realty parking lots (9th and W St).

Do not park in the staging area or at Crosley Lanes Bowling Alley.

Parade Line-up: All units should enter from east of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site—from Grand Boulevard and Evergreen Boulevard. Parade coordinators in orange vests will assist you in finding your line-up location.
Units with extra-long vehicles must arrive before 9 am and line up on Evergreen Blvd.
Each person in your group must know your parade unit number.
Do not block traffic in the staging area. One lane must be kept open on all streets as an emergency fire lane at all times.

Unit Number Display Sign: At registration, you will receive your unit number display sign. Designate someone in the front of your unit to carry this number or to display it in your parade vehicle’s front window. This number is essential for parade announcers to read your unit’s information for parade viewers and the CVTV audience.
Equestrian/Animal Units: You must provide a pooper-scooper. Units violating this rule will not be allowed to participate in the parade this year or future years.

You must clean up after your animals for the entire day, and keep the staging area and parking lots clean.

Marching Bands: Meet south of Mill Plain on Reserve by the soccer fields. Parents / buses can unload and load musicians in gravel parking lot on the west side of Reserve St.

Parade performances, routines or displays: You may pause in front of each of the announcer stands. Routines must be 60 seconds or less to keep the parade moving. Announcer stand locations: (1) Marshall House, (2) Fort Vancouver Way traffic circle, (3) Providence Academy, (4) Main St and Evergreen Blvd.

Prepare for inclement weather: Although we hope for a sunny day, please be prepared for inclement weather. The parade will go on rain or shine.

Boy and Girl Scouts: Scouts should be dropped off at the intersection of 5th and Reserve at the Pearson Air Museum and walk to their staging location on 6th Street. Each scout should know his/her parade unit number. See route map for details. Scout pick-up will be in the Chase Bank parking lot located at 1205 Broadway.

Religious or political statements, signs or literature: No controversial religious or political statements will be allowed in the parade or distributed along the parade route. Religious and/or political statements and materials may only be displayed in the designated free-speech areas at Fort Vancouver.

Throwing  candy: DO NOT throw candy or other objects from vehicles. It is a safety hazard when children rush
into the street to pick up candy.

I really want to do my Shadow trooper but I will need some help with my shoulder pieces and some of the other parts.  I don't want to be presumptuous and assume that someone going is comfortable assisting.  If not, then I will be my officer.  :grin:
