WHAT: May the 4th Episode XXIV Celebration
WHERE:
Oregon City Public Library, 606 John Adams St., Oregon City, OR 97045 in Oregon City
DATE: Saturday, May 4th
TIME: 4PM should be fine
CAUSE:
Oregon City Public Library
Our library has been celebrating Star Wars Day since 2013, and the event draws in bigger crowds each year. Last year we counted around 650 attendees!
PARKING:
We have staff parking you're welcome to use and plenty of street parking and a lot across the street.
CHANGING AND STORAGE:
Members can use staff bathrooms, which are larger, for changing and can keep personal gear in staff only area, which is locked to the public. We have bottled water and a bottle refill station. We may have snacks this year, but please let us know if you have any requests and we'll see about fulfilling those. Thank you!


COSTUME REQUESTS:
We've been grateful to have units visit during our May the 4th events before. We welcome all - The Rebellion, Empire, Republic, Mandalorians, Hutts, you name it. We have yet to figure out how to accommodate Rancors though. Thank you for your consideration, and may The Force be with you!


BLASTER POLICY: Blaster and lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS:
Annually, we host a large May the 4th celebration for the galaxy's best characters and fandom. We offer activities and prizes for attendees.
ANYTHING ELSE:
Annually, we host a large May the 4th celebration for the galaxy's best characters and fandom. We offer games and prizes for attendees. Most activities are inside, but we can also accommodate many outside because our library is surrounded by a City park. Staff and 501st Units, however, will have private access to the building before the event. Here are some of the activities we have planned.  •   Welcome tent, issuing new Baby Yoda library cards •   Pool noodle light saber making •   Lightsaber training with bubbles •   Scavenger Hunt/prize stickers •   Photo booth on Library stairs •   Music

I decided to do this Oregon City Library event because there was only 1 person trooping. Didn’t know 10 Mandos were going to show up, they were great.
The Library had 700+ people attend which is awesome.
Really good event.
