OK Troops, (this is posted for those participants who don't have access to the CCG members event planning areas!!)

Some sort of lighting/illumination is required to be worn on your costumes for this event!

Don't panic!!  It's really easy to do!!!

For all you Jedi types, an EL Lightsaber will be sufficient, but you can do more than that if you want!

For all you armored types, EL wire kits work fantastically, are affordable, don't get hot, and will last for hours and hours with fresh batteries!

For Stormtroopers (TK/TD) we suggest a blue-green EL color run along the lower edge of your chest plates (at a minimum).

All other costume types have more or less used whatever they wanted, as long as they were illuminated!!  For those of you who don't have any idea where to purchase EL wire kits, you can buy VERY inexpensive kit's off eBay.

Here is a link to Portalnd vendor that will ship to you as well.  You should get at LEAST 6' long kits!  http://www.coolightwest.com/rcProd1.asp?id=85&c1=1&c2=30

Here's a couple photos from last year to give you an idea:

Chad for some reason I couldn't order lights off of that site. It drove me crazy. So what I did is ran down to Fred Meyer and bought up a bunch of glowsticks, a dollar a pop, and plan to hang em off of my armor.

Is a Ka no Kata, with a Zenpo Gari, from the Hoko No Kami position an acceptable defense against a zombie attack?

You should see what I did my first year at Starlight as the TI... I had those glow strings taped to my hoses, and put them on the armor itself, around the edges of the armor.

Of course, I also had blinking lights on the chest box..... that was until OMSI when I fried the unit by putting the 9-volt in backwards!
