MISSION COMPLETE: 05.02.09: Free Comicbook Day at TONYS KINGDOM OF COMICS

   once again i am asking for as many of you as possible for FCBD 2009 sat. may 2nd at TONYS KINGDOM OF COMICS in keizer/salem. those of you who know of me and my shop, and have trooped this event before, know that i ALWAYS involve a charity, spoil you guys rotten, and make sure we all have a BLAST! i have not finalized all the plans, or have confirmation on all guests, but here is what i am hoping for.

   our good friend RANDY EMBERLINE (artist marvel/SPIDERMAN etc) wants to appear again. and i have a couple others in mind. raffle for toys/comics/etc for the charity. CCG backdrop for pictures for charity? masonic free child ID booth. albertsons sponsored hotdog/burger BBQ. and a few other things.  i usually get the empty shop next door for changing and relaxing and make sure everyone is provided with food and beverages. the troop will start at 10:00 (armor up 9-10) till you get sick n tired (hopefully at least 6;00). we are open til 8:00.

UPDATE
   COULD EVERYONE PLEASE CONFIRM SO WE CAN UPDATE THE ROSTER i know there have been injuries and some people are going to my buddies at TFAW

    in honor of my brothers and sisters in CCG/KB i have invited (and he has accepted) DARK HORSE/STAR WARS MARVEL/KINGBREAKER artist Dustin Weaver. and we will be raising contributions for dorenbechers and shriners childrens hospitals. i also have a local sculptor Toby Wayne coming in. and local character artist Micah Baker will be here. Randy Emberlin IS coming back (cant seem to get ridda him Very Happy). i have more to add, will post later when confirmed this will be the biggest, bestest and funnest yet .........old tony kenobi

  The Event was a great event for Free Comic Day and Charity.  Tony, thank you for doing this by bringing Charity into it.  The folks were very thoughtful.  The Artist were super people.
   It is always a blast to troop with you guys.    Rick, Carlos, Paul, Danielle, Christy, Karyn, Dan, Michael W., Myself, Greg C. Tony G, and with help by my Nephew Jacob and son Alex who dressed for this.  At 4:45 pm Jason S. and his wife Tracy came to help for a while.. THANK YOU so much..
    We trooped from 10:00 am till about 5:00 pm. and Jason S (ESB Boba Fett) and  wife as Padme Ep 2 Arena. looked great. 
     Wow over  $600. for Dornbechers and Shriners,, OUTSTANDING. 

     We even had a Batman and Joker there. Tony G. did Obi wan and he brought out his DUCK Vader later in day.  Rick did Vader in Morning and Wookie Warrior after lunch.  Paul and Friend Justin did soft costumes.    Paul, You looked great, and He was being very careful with his Knee. No hard costumes for a while.  Speedy recovery for Paul.  Christy and Danielle had fun costumes on as well. Karyn brought out her FEM Trooper.

      The weather was interesting. Sun, overcast, Sprinkle, Rain, and WIND. then sun.  Beautiful Oregon.

 Thank you Carlos for taking pictures and the video was fun watching back.

  My body is tired today.  I am sure many are today.. LOLOL

 I made a gallery yesterday and will be adding pictures as I get them. Enjoy.  Be patient.

WOW! :shock:WOW! :shock:WOWIE!!! i am overwhelmed, overcome, humbled, choke-up, proud(of all of us) and pretty much speachless about what we accomplished with this one silly event! $611.25 (to be split between shriners/doernbechers childrens hospitals) for putting smiles on families faces and dressing up and  acting goofy i am still trying to process the enormity of what we did, so i will comment and a TZON of more pics very soon. BUT MUST SLEEP NOW!!!!!..............ol tony
