WHAT: Star Wars Party

CAUSE: Fort Vancouver Regional Library District/ Battle Ground Community Library
We are a library branch within the Fort Vancouver Library District. Our district provides public library services to most of southwest WA state. Our branch specifically serves the city of Battle Ground, WA.
PARKING: Our library has a parking lot on the south side of the building that's free to use. There is also free street parking all around the building as well.
CHANGING AND STORAGE: In the past we've had volunteers use our large event room as their changing and storage space. It's a large room with a fairly large locked closet inside. There are also several alternative spaces within the building for volunteers to use for changing and storage.
COSTUME REQUESTS: We are fine with whatever we get.
BLASTER POLICY: Please leave blasters at home. Lightsabers are fine.
MEMBERS' CHILDREN IN COSTUME: Yes, children in costume are welcome to attend
OTHER DETAILS: Our youth service staff will be having a Star Wars Party to celebrate the upcoming May 4th Day. The party will be for families with children and include crafts and a short storytime segment.
ANYTHING ELSE: All adult volunteers must arrange with the library to pass a background check. Contact programsvc@fvrl.org to discuss this. We would also like to highly encourage any volunteers with children in-costume to attend our event. We will likely have a photo booth area for participants.
