We are an alliance of families and professionals working to build empowered and inclusive communities.
Our mission is to create and nurture a loving and inclusive society for all people experiencing disability. We empower and support families and individuals whose lives have been touched by developmental disability. We work to support and increase access to education, promote public understanding and acceptance, advocate for full inclusion, and defend the civil rights of individuals with disabilities. Our values are the core of our organization and the basis for how we make decisions to support our mission, forge community bonds, and work for systems change.
NW Disability Support is the evolution of our work as Northwest Down Syndrome Association and ABI Community.
PARKING: Moda Center Parking (may be able to secure parking passes or $10 parking per vehicle))

OTHER DETAILS: Buddy Fest NW is NW Disability Support's annual celebration promoting the acceptance and inclusion of people experiencing disability (including Down syndrome). It is the largest fundraiser of the year for NWDS. The festival brings together families, friends, self-advocates, educators, professionals, community leaders and other promoters of a civil and inclusive society for a day of community, fun, and advocacy. Everyone seeking to understand, accept, and celebrate disability, diversity, and inclusion is welcome at Buddy Fest NW!
ANYTHING ELSE: We always love having you all! Folks can show up as early as they'd like to get ready (9am?) or whenever they can make it. The changing room will be inside the Veterans Memorial Coliseum and #BuddyFestNW is set up right out front in the common area between the VMC and the Moda Center.
