So how does it work when a kid runs up to you with a pen an paper asking for a Biker Scout, Storm trooper or any costumed characters John Hancock? If you have a Legion ID and number do you sign with that and follow that with the type of character you are i.e. TB2001 Biker Scout?
What if its a non-canon event and you aren't wearing a specific SW costume ( my modified biker scout armor that's in the works)?

Another thing, I already asked about the possibility of riding my 50 motorbike (modified as a speeder) in parades and that sounded like a no-go. I could also modify a smaller bicycle so the speeder bike kit from the motorbike would fit on that as well. Would that be okay to ride in a parade without any restrictions?

Here is what I say to folks who are interested in being the Legion and are also interested in world of custom costumes: Get your Legion ID with a legitimate approved Legion costume, then we can talk.  You have leverage because you have a fall back costume that is approved and you are then a member.  Membership has its privileges.

I always sign" TK9066 Stormtrooper" with a little doodle of a TK (unless there are 1000 screaming kids waiting for one.)

For signing autographs, I always write either CC-7738 Commander Bacara or just CT-7738 depending on the costume I am in at the time. Most people just do what works for their own persona - although I'm not sure anyone uses their real name.

As for the parade speeder bike, I know that Judge_Hellfast from the 70th Explorers Garrison has a working speeder bike that they are able to use - not sure how much use it gets in parades and such, but it looks (to quote Peter Griffin) freakin' sweet.

Personally, while I think the speeder bike is a good idea, I'd work on the armor first - and Martin is right, get yourself a legion approved costume. If you like the camo look, perhaps a 41st Elite Jungle Trooper?

I intend to build a 501st costume in the future, not sure what i want to do for that, have some ideas. The reason i'm doing a Custom the first time round is to give myself a feel for costuming without being worried about screwing something up, more flexability basically with the design and building.
I don't expect to join with that costume. After that one i'll build a 501st costume, join and become an official member, a day i look forward to :)

I wonder how they steer that bike?

I always sign autographs with my TI number and some sort of moniker (as time permits), like "We Fly, Rebels Die! Join the Empire." Or I sign my name as "Tavrik Gannon". If I am in an especially good mood, that being signing pics for my fellow troopers, you get the full "48 Hours of Bill" treatment!
