CCG Moderator Guidelines1. Maintain a presence (i.e. participate) in the areas you are designated to moderate
2. Gently remind members that we need to keep it PG when necessary
3. If in doubt - ask for a second opinion before acting
4. If you must edit someone's post, please make a note at the bottom of the post indicating what was edited and why, i.e. EDIT: personal information (social security number) removed
5. If you must delete an entire post, please feel free to do so, but PM them to notify them of the reason(s) why
6. Communicate via a Private Message if a conversation should remain private
7. Refrain from engaging in flame wars
8. Read items 3 and 7 again
9. You are acting on behalf of the web team to moderate the forum and are directly accountable to the GWL.
10. The forum tracks all moderator changes, so make good decisions!
Permissions you will have as a moderator:
- Edit, move, and delete posts
- Move, split, merge, and delete discussion threads
- Access to a private discussion area where you and other mods can discuss issues before acting if necessary
